Theres a new Ranger Rick in town
Hey what's up guys, I just went out looking at trucks for my first ever car and ended up leaving with a lifted 2006 Ford Ranger sport. The truck is in killer condition with only 64k miles on it and drives amazing... Except for when I make hard turns at very slow speeds, especially when backing up, it makes a loud rubbing sound and I can feel it though the steering wheel and brakes.
Now it has aftermarket rims with three 32 inch all terrain tires that are about halfway done and one 32 inch off road tire that is pretty much brand new. Could this be part of the problem by any chance?

I went out this morning and turned the wheels as far as they could go in both directions and looked under to see what was going on. Turns out the steering knuckle is actually grinding against the lower control arm on both sides when turning extreme angles. Do you know what I can do to fix this? The rims are not stock but idk what size they are at the moment
