I've bought a 2002 ranger about a year ago and it's been a good truck so far.It is a low mileage and very clean i am planning to be the last owner. my question is does the chip's i see advertise to up your hp by 50 and better gas milage work or just a fly by night scam.It's frisky but not speedy would like more power without spending a ton of money.

The word chip is such a joke

Get a tuner for a few horses and foot lbs and maybe a mpg or two.

Otherwise, maintain, monitor, replace.
