96 fixrupper

Hey guys and gals,
just bought my brother in laws ranger and i'm happy with it but, could be happier. Just drove it for the first time today (1/21/11) and found out that the driver seat sinks to the left, headlights shake when driving, map lights dont work (probably just the bulbs), odometer doesn't work and mile doesn't work, light behind eng. temp is out and grill feels loose.....lol. you're probably thinking i bought a POS but, luckily for me, its just a fixer upper and my drive to work vehicle. I have a new dependable car but, its only 3 yrs old and almost at 60,000 miles......so i needed something else. I am a mechanic so I can more than likely fix just about all the problems but.......i've never pulled a gauge cluster to replace a bulb . I am very interested in installing HID's, I like the extra light visability at night. I will be replacing the headlights themselves (very yellow) and tightening down the grill, i'm sure that is all it is, replacing map light bulbs and maybe have the seats fixed or just find a pick and pull with the best seats. I'm not too worried about the odometer and mile meter.....i'll just change the oil every three months......easy .......as.......that.

if anyone has any suggestions, let me know.....bad or good.....and thanks.
