Hi all! My name is Mariano, I`m from Argentina (Tandil, Buenos Aires) and I`m new member of this forum ( I belong to the Argentine forum www.clubranger4x4.com.ar). I have been the owner of a 1999 XLT Std.Cab 2.5TDi 4x2, and then I changed to a 2002 XLT Crew Cab 2.8TDi 4x4 when I had a little girl and my family grew. Being a Ranger-owner has been very rewarding, I can hit those plastic tinny cars with my front metal bumper (I`m joking).
Hope we can share lots of information and feedbak.

Thanks Jason, yes it`s a 4 cylinder diesel, with a Garret WG turbo, 2 valve per cyl.
It has 132hp (at 3800rpm) and 480lb.ft torque at 1600rpm (355Nm/1600rpm).
Doesn`t feel any weakness, the engine has enough power at very low rpm.
Sorry my english is very bad.

Yeah. Wish mine was 4x4.. and Diesel. Mine has the 2.3L Duratec. It's a great truck, and having the cab space sure is great. I just had a trip to work with 7 people inside the cab... pretty cool.

 

 

 

I love those crew cab Rangers. Wish I had one!
