Hello from Ohio
New to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. When I learned the Ranger was not being built after 2011 I decided to pull the trigger and get a new one to use for a daily driver, and hunting/fishing ride. I will use it primarily on pavement with light off road use during hunting season.
Mine is a 4x4 black "sport" version. Truck has 300 miles on it and I have made a couple changes and have several others planned. I swapped out the "sport" decals for FX-4 decals and removed the side steps. Planning on replacing the bedliner with spray in Line-X, tinting the windows, and doing a small lift with 285/75's on stock wheels.
I have already picked up a set of "pre-keys", and 2.5 rear lift blocks/u-bolts, from a wrecked 2005 and am planning on possibly doing an install. I don't like the looks of a 285 on a stock truck.
Still researchinig the lift isues. don't mind a moderate crank on the torsion bars and as it sits stock it is a full 2.5 inches lower in the front. My stock blocks in the new truck appear to be about 1.5 inches. the 2005 blocks appear to be about 2.5 inches. If I put in the prekeys and blocks, then crank the tb's a little more i think the 285's will fit nicely.
so anyway.....I will learn how to post some pics and get started on this project asap.
