First Ranger Ever

Hello everyone,
I just bought a 1998 Extended Cab Ramger from my mom for 500 bucks (more than what the dealership was going to give her for it). So I have big plans, any help or advice would be appreciated:
1- when the engine is running there so a loud squeek, I have watched lots of videos and plan on changing the belt to a Good year Gatorback belt that works. If not I can change out the Idler and Tension pully.
2- when driving there so lots of squeeky noises on turns, I plan on changing out the shocks. I like the look of coil over shocks so any advice would be appreciated.
3- I like the look of the off road fenders, there is a raptor conversion kit I’m considering but if anyone has this kit: How do you open the hood? Or I’m considering the Duraflex fenders. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
4- I plan on painting the outside with bed liner, person experiences on products would be appreciated.
5- of course rims and tires will be upgraded.
6- has anyone gotten their interior reupholstered, if so about how much do you think it would cost to get leather installed. I have been quoted $1,500, is that good?
7- if I can afford bumpers after all this I would like to get some large chunky metal off road ones. Any info would be appreciated.
This will be my everyday vehicle for at least the next two years while I try and pay off my student loans, I have 5k saved up for all upgrades but would like to stay closer to 3k

. Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Your 5k would be better off spent on making sure that truck is reliable, or paying off your student loans. Having a cool looking truck is great and all, but it won't make you as happy as being free from the plague that is student loan debt will.
