hi yall im nick from riverview florida, just found this site and really happy with it. i just purchaced a 84 ranger 2x4 reg cab 2.3L 5spd. i paid 600 for it. it ran a lil ruff when i got it so i did a tune up ie plugs, wires, cap, rotor, did rebuild on carb. thats where my down fall started i did it all right not my first carb rebuild. how ever aunseen crack in the screw in fuel filter and 1 good back fire i am left with no more vacuum line all melted due to the fire. i have the diagram on my radiator support but can not figure it out... looking for info online i stumbled across this site and i see all the knowledge everyone has to offer and know i am in good hands! i hope to get past this prob asap to to some future mods ie: SAS,FLAT BED, DUALLY CONVERSION, STACKS AND HOPEFULLY A MOTOR SWAP TO A FRESH 300 INLINE 6CYL AND BE SETTING ON SOME 36"-37" TIRES

hey guys thanks for all the hospitality! an update on the ranger got a carb from a friend it was on his dirt track truck. i put it on got rid of all the polution crap and just kept what i needed, it ran perfect... till a few days, now its pouring fuel out the front and back of the shaft from the bottem butterfly?!?! any ideas the only thing i can think of is float is sticking has all new gaskets. oh yeah it back fires and sounds like a dagon shot gun whats that mean????
