Hello All I am new to this forum and this is my first thread. Today I have purchased a new rear axle from a 2001 ford explorer with a gear ratio that matches my truck. I will be showcasing the process of swapping this axle into my 1994 Ford Ranger. The reason i am switching is because the explorer axle has thicker splines, as well as higher performing disk brakes. First though I plan on restoring the axle - Stripping off all the rust and repainting it. Once i can figure out how to add images I will begin sharing the whole process with you all!
