when installing the ford bug deflector it says to remove the christmas tree pins on the front of the bonnets underside rubber tubing,so you install the tubing under the deflector, after removing the pins its like the tubing is somehow still attached to bonnet.

 

On what year? My 2007 I had to remove the rubber gasket (tubing) on the underside of my hood and then replace it when I had the bug shield in place even with mine being an aftermarket and not the Ford one.
