Got my ranger for $150...really
I bought my 1996 Ranger about 3 weeks ago. It needs a little work to get running and legal, but I am excited to drive it! I bought it off a guy I used to work with because he bought it from another guy I worked with. Long story short, I picked it up for $150 because he let it sit. No bare wtih me, It has flames on the front (I will be removing them when its warmer). I am 25 and I am a jet engine mechanic for the US Navy active duty.
Its a 1996 Ford Ranger regular cab short bed 4x2 2.3L 5spd. 141k

Taylor- i would if I could! I am just concintrating on getting it running. It sat for 2 years so I am going to do a coolant flush, oil cahnge etc. It needs new tires, so I scored a set of 91 explore wheels and tires for $175 (I know, its more than I paid for the truck!). Also waiting on papers so I can get it titled and registered, so I then can drive it legally!
its not in bad shape. All it really needs to be able to start driving is a battery, coolant flush, and oil change. Maybe some other odds and ends but nothing major. I have already have people offer me $1000 for it, the KBB on it id about $1700.
Wow, good deal. Should be easy to get it running and diagnose further. Definitely need those flames off ASAP. And... welcome from a fellow sailor. What's ur rate? Kind of a lot of aviation jobs to choose from.
