I'm new to the ranger forums. I'm 18 and I drive a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab 4x4 as seen below. I've got a black diamond plate toolbox currently on order from Tractor Supply Company, which leaves me with with about $2,000 to spend on the truck and I'm looking for ideas. So far I've thought about black headlights/taillights and black wheels. However, I'm not sure I want to go that route, because the "black out" look is so overdone and can turn out pretty terrible if not done right.

You all think some black wheels would look good on it? I can't really decide, or find some that I absolutely love.

 

If you can't decide.. do something along the lines of Dick Cepek DC-1's... have some black, but not all blacked out. Definitely go with the black headlights and corners mod, looks a lot better imho.
