Hey guys, glad to see there is such a good site out there supporting Fords! My son and I are working on his first Ford Ranger- of course being 19 years old his right foot got the better of the 3.0 V6 and now we are looking at replacing it. the problem is that there are no decent 2001 Ranger 3.0's to be had around Northern NY. I'm sure this question has been beat to death but will a Taurus or other 3.0 V6 bolt in? I've got a line on a low mile 3.0 out of a car (2006) and would like to do it if it is right- I don't really want my kid to spend his money if it isn't right. I do appreciate any help you can offer. Welcome! I don't think it's a direct bolt in... but I'm sure someone on here will chime in who has tried or at least looked into it!
