2.3 2005 ford ranger; upgraded valve body, crower cams, MSDS headers, 5 star tuning, custom 3” intake. Totally stock otherwise.

Sounds interesting and in todays market it is probably the best way to approach more power.
There is nothing like a little more power and a good solid shift point !

Me, I'm saddled with a 3.0 SLOW... 5 speed, a Turbo might wake things up some but it just wouldn't sound like a V8 !

Pictures would be good !

Thanks! I just love the rangers. We used to race 7 open...I’ve had this truck since 2005 (bought new) as a work truck, well to drive to work. The gas mileage is excellent. After reading post here and looking tirelessly I managed to find some cool parts for the truck. 5 star is helping tune it right now so that’s quite the process. I think I’m going to really get inside the motor and build it up and have a turbo made for it. I’ll have a transmission built that will optimize the HP. But again it’s all a process. Even with the small amount of work I have done there’s been a lot of trial and error. Maybe that can help people here. I always come to this forum for advice but never registered. Until now!
