Hi. I've joined this forum to help with a restoration project of my mom's 1984 Ranger XL.
We have the 2.2 perkins from another ranger, with transmission, that we're getting ready to swap in. Her I-4 hasn't run properly and we now the diesel will get 30+mpg. Any advice information on the diesel would be appreciated!
Also looking at doing some cosmetic upgrades. Like getting rid of the 14" rims and going to 16-17s. Where should I look for that?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes guys! Does anyone know of any easy upgrades to the perkins? I'm already doing an intake and exhaust, but wasn't sure of anything I can do to a non-turbo diesel that will really help it out.
