Just found this forum, and hope that I can both learn and contribute to this site. I am the owner of a 1985 Ford Ranger 2WD 2.0L, that I am trying to get roadworthy. It has been parked for over 6 years, and is desperately in need of some TLC. Right now, the immediate problem seems to be the battery, and the solenoid. Battery takes a charge, but the solenoid grumbles. Going to get a new one, and do some weekend wrenchin'. If anyone else has an oldie but a goodie like this, drop a line and let's swap stories...:
