Hey just bought a 2001 ford ranger with 59k miles... I bought it from the first owner. (The family of an old man who passed away) for $3500 almost a thousand dollars less then kbb.. it's a v6 3.0 single/regular cab long bed. And ill tell you what i love the truck. I usually always buy manual trans and this one is an automatic and I'm not even a little bit disappointed in my choice of buying it although its automatic. It has enough power for a little truck and it's great on gas. I've put 100 miles on it since I filled it up and I am surprise that it only used a quarter of a tank..I'M LOVING IT!!! All this truck absolutely needed was a radiator cap and windshield wipers..something I do want done is paint.. does anyone know what kind of paint ford used in 2001 on these ranger it's white and the paint just flaky and peeled off in some spots..last but not least it wines as if the power stearing needs to be replace yet it has plenty of power stearing fluid in it and the pump looks pretty new.. I made an account so I can learn more about these little trucks and hopefully get some answers or advice on the truck from people who are more knowledgeable of these rangers. Thanks alot
