Hello from BC & Question About my Ranger

Hello from British Columbia! Last December I bought a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT as my winter beater to protect my Dodge Challenger from the difficult weather in the parks system (where I work). Its needed a bit of work since I bought it, had power steering and serpentine belt replaced. I also had to rip out the carpet cause I couldn't figure out where a water leak was and it got mouldy. Other than that, its a lot of fun. Has the 4.0L V6, 4X4, its automatic (I can't drive manual) and an extended bed.

Interestingly, it would appear that the previous owner (or owners I don't know) had a camper on it at one point. There are 4 attachment points that jut out from the sides and some wires that poke out of the bed. I'm pretty new to trucks, but it also looks like it sits higher than other 3rd Gen Rangers and B-Series from the same couple years pre-facelift that I've seen in public. I'd assume this is to accommodate the weight of the camper but I'm clueless to tell if it actually has a small lift or if I'm just seeing things. Is anyone able to let me know?

If I were to put a camper on it, what would I need and what type should I get? I'm really new and could use the help : )

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day.
