My name is Mike and I live in Prineville, Oregon. I've owned an '89 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 with the 2.9l V6 for almost 20 years. After buying it at auction I discovered that it had lead a hard life. Probably a drug seizure, it had served as a canine unit for the Ogden, Utah PD. I drove it for a couple years, then found a factory supplier rebuilt longblock engine back in Oklahoma.. Drove back, the engine screaming like an overworked sewing machine, picked the engine up and had it installed. Through the years I have tried to keep it mechanically sound, replacing parts including a rebuilt 5 speed as needed.
