Icon6 Hello, Im new

Hey everyone. Im new here. The story behind my username name is kind of an interseting one. The reason im Uncle and I is the fact my real grandad was an alcholic and died fairly young. I never related to my step-grandad too much. So i started hanging out with my Great Uncle. I got involved in helping restore and mod cars. So far we have a 70 Z28 camaro. 72 SS Nova race car. 92 RS camaro. 72 C-10 pickup, and a Ford Ranger. We got really close and he stepped in and was like my real grandad. He had a wife and duaghter but one day when he got home from work his wife left a note basically stating that her and his duaghter were leaving him. Now he has no contact with his daughter. So i became like a grandson to him. So we have been fixin and moddin cars for a while now. Sorry for that story for the people who dont like to read.

Now the story behind the Ranger. He had an old f-100 i think some older ford truck. Well i visited my Grandma and My great uncle for christmas, (they live about an hour away from me). He was driving home and a Drunk Driver hit and totaled his little truck nick named baby blue. So after about a month he picked up his ranger for 1000 bucks. I think it had a 3.0 but that blew up an the previous owner upgraded to a 4.0. Something along those lines. So he bought it and that replaced baby blue. It has 4.0 liter i cant remember the year but its a 97 to 00ish. 5 speed manual. Xtended cab. The body has got a decent amount of scratches, but for 1k. Were thinking about getting a new grille and new rims. But were engine guys. We want this truck to go fast, but since the body isnt show quality itll have the sleeperesque kinda look. We though about makin it a offroader, but it doenst have 4x4. I will be the one posting since my great uncle cannot read very well. (he dropped outta school to take care of his blind mom, they had a farm) and also doesnt have acess to a computer. So i will be here trying to learn and drinking in the knowledge.

Thanks For Reading. Sorry for all the word.

Welcome to RF, SC. Don't worry about the story being to long. Old guys like me appreciate stories like that. You sound like a really nice kid. If he doesn't say it, I'm sure your uncle enjoys your company. Especially now that his daughter is gone. My son never really had a interest in cars. I really missed not getting under the hood with him. I'm making sure that doesn't happen with my grandson. I'm starting him early. He's 3 1/2 now. LOL

Nice rides.

If you wake up one morning and find the Camaro missing, don't worry, its in good hands.
