Hi!

A few weeks ago, I bought a 2007 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab, 6 Cyl, 2WD, AT for the purpose of occasional use and for those times when the sports sedan just won't cut it for a trip to the Home Depot.

It was fairly inexpensive, and my expectations are not high. On the other hand, my needs for this vehicle are not high either. But so far so good. I like the truck.

I've owned maybe 8 or 9 vehicles in my life, and this Ranger is my first ever pickup, and also my first ever American-nameplate car.

I don't know a lot about cars, but I am an engineer by trade, and I can read and follow instructions. That's why when it comes to cars, I'm not completely clueless, but I am likely Half a Clue Short on most car-related matters.

I've created an account because I have some questions already, and I know there will be more.

Engine? Trans? 2WD\4WD? Best to put basic vehicle specs in your signature to make asking+answering questions easier.

Won't hold being an Engineer against you, as I'm also one, though retired now several years.
