I don't actually own a ranger yet, am helping my brother-in-law, (who is physically 21 but had some "challenges"), get his first vehicle, so it's kinda like getting a 17 year-old started.)

For some reason he didn't take my advice to start with an old k-car. :)

I'm actually very much not a vehicle guy, but wouldn't mind a truck myself, so we're looking into some used rangers. I expect I should put the details in a different thread, but I'll be looking/asking for what things to look(out) for in the various years/models/generations and such. Thanks!
