Hey guys! I'm Travis, I'll be 16 at the end of this month, and looking on this forum for some mods to do to my Ranger when I get it! I believe the year is a 98-02, somewhere in that range. I'm looking for more of a sporty, lower profile look. There are few mods I've already got in mind, such as dropping it a little bit, adding some rims from a 98 Mustang GT, smoking the headlights and tail lights, 8000k HIDs, tint, speakers/subs, turbo kit, etc. I have some questions though, as I am new to the truck world. In a 4.0 SOHC, what would be the BEST turbo kit you could recommend? What about some gauge clusters? Do they make a short throw shifter for a standard gearbox on a 5 speed 4.0? What would be the cheapest route if I was interested in doing a 5.0 swap? Thanks SO much in advance! Looking forward to seeing what you guys have to say!

To answer some of your questions....In my opinion, check out superchargers for the 4.0 SOHC. Look for some explorer gauge clusters. HURST is an AWESOME short throw shifter for our rangers (I have one)
Honestly, there is no cheap route for a 5.0 swap. The most common option is a 5.0 out of an explorer. Look for a 98-00 5.0 (somebody correct me if Im wrong on the years)
