Hi Guys and Gals,

I recently bought a 1989 Ford ranger and looking to do some major work to it ... it has:
149,000 miles (or so i was told)
Manual Tans.
NO powersteering
NO A/C unit
its like a purplish blue color
very crappy interior

but the best thing is i bought it for ..... $ 400 !!!

i call it a steal .. it runs, and is reg. until january of 2011 !! So, what should I do first? (that will improve looks and gas milage ) it currently gets an average of 25.77 MPG (thats an average of 3 tank fill ups)

I bought it as a commuter and hope to make it look great .. thanks guys i hope to learn much on this forum as it is my first actual truck (i have owned 5 cars and currently own a 2005 dodge caravan)

Welcome! I don't think it was a bad buy. Looks like a good project. I had a 1990 with about 15K in it. Loved it and now am sorry I sold it.
