Hello from SW PA
Hey there,
My name is Mike. I recently bought a 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0 flex fuel 4x2 as a little beat-em-up truck to drive to work and round town in, and I wanted to join the community to talk about maintaining it and fixing it up. Admittedly I haven't worked on my own car in a long time, but after a recent bad experience with a Honda with push button start and all electric accessories (including the e-brake) left me standing on the brake pedal for 90 minutes at 1am waiting for roadside assistance to arrive, I decided I'd rather have a daily driver with all mechanical parts that I can fix myself. I'm hoping to learn a lot about these trucks here and see what other people put them through.
Cheers

Welcome from southeast PA. Our trucks are fairly easy and uncomplicated to service. These forums are an awesome resource. If your truck lived it’s life in PA so far, check for rust and get ahead of it.
enjoy!
