I've had my truck for about 8 years now as my only DD. I paid my grandpa back for it after my first job in 2012 and finally had a head/gasket let go on me last february @ 225k. As much of a turd as it is, I'm growing quite fond of it. My grandpa is 90 now and maybe it's me being only 25, but I feel like my truck is too. As long as his old @$$ keeps wanting to hunt every year I'll be keeping the ranger ready to drive across the pass and get him.

The posts from veteran members here and on the ranger station forums have been invaluable to me as a kid and now as an adult novice. I was thinking earlier of all the things I would have never done myself without all the how-to's and threads.

So far this year
- replaced everything on belt drive
- gutted interior for mlv/ccf, carpet, and system wiring
- bigger alt, batt, 2 amps, 4 speakers, and 2 8" DD subs
- Coil pack/plugs/wires
- Water pump
- T-stat
- MAF and IAC
- Camshaft synchro
- sensors everywhere
- '01 front clip and painted plastic all around (wrong valence lol)

Next
- install new rad/trans cooler tomorrow
- Try to install brakes/hubs over new years
- FIND 8.8 L/S, ditch drums
- reupholster seats?
- dream about swaps, coilovers, and superlifts


Thanks again to all the veteran members and technical advisors who have saved me from having to pay someone to work on my vehicle this far. I have to do all my work on Sundays now so I haven't done any major modifications but i'm really excited for 2019 and hopefully I can do more this year. Sorry for the long first post
