new to this forum. to be honest wasnt much of a ford guy but got a ranger for free that didnt have reverse.i drove it a lil against my better judgement and yup tranny finally gave out.

 

i just started to pull tranny out and im having problems gettin the torque converter nuts loose. ive tried all sorts of combonations of extensions sockets and swivels. is there some special tool or a trick to get on them squarely. i keep slipping off the nuts. its a 98 ranger with a 4r44e and 2.5. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you all in advance.
