Hey All
Hey All
I'm Chuck, the proud owner of a '06 ext cab Ranger. It's got a 2/3 drop on 18's. This is my 4th Ranger and I like it alot better than the others I've previously owned. Engine is stock 3L 6 banger with auto trans, 3:73 gears out back. I have a plan for this truck as far as performance and looks wise. I figured joining a ranger forum would help me complete my goal. My other ride is a stock '88 GT Mustang convertible, It's in need of some work since mother nature decided to wreck it with hail a few months ago.
Welcome to the site nice looking Ranger.

thanks guys! and yes I did post a pic in the lowered thread..I have better pics, but most of them are over 1MB which seems to be your limit..
oops, it was in the post your pics thread..my bad
Future plans are including, smoked headlights, I saw another black dropped ranger on here that has the same kind I'm looking at getting, smooth upper bumper valance so it can be painted gloss black to match the truck, knocking out the honeycombed inserts to fit OEM style foglights, stainless steel gauge insert to dress up the dash a little bit, stereo/speaker upgrade, CAI, headers, exhaust and smoked, non ricer looking tailights. It will be finished after that unless I find something else to tinker with, but I'd like to upgrade the performance of it first. This 3.0 doesn't seem to have the power my '92 ext cab did, I credit that to the bastard plastic intake and the addition of the 5 spd tranny which seems to rob alot of torque.

thanks! fortunetly, most of the work was already done to it when I got it so I don't have to go thru all the pain of picking out a lowering kit, yadda yadda yadda I can just pick up where the previous owner left off
thanks..I kinda figured there wasn't many of us with custom rangers around here..I just moved here about a month ago from TN, so I'm still getting to know the area..but you wouldn't be too far to catch a meet in the near future

plans for mine are dif head and taillights, CAI and exhaust, a tune, some interior mods (stainless gauge cluster, stereo/speaker upgrades) tinting the driver and passenger windows and a bit more with the suspension I'd like to find a little bit bigger sway bar for the front and do a little something with the rear similar to the lightning oh yeah..and a disc brake conversion for the rear..I've heard you can use the set up from an explorer without swapping out the axles. You got a good looking truck yourself, I almost bought a FX4 but for the amount of miles it had, it was a bit rough.
And I can't forget about the front bumper upgrade I'm going to do either..going with the painted upper part instead of the textured and knocking out the honeycomb fillers in place of OEM foglights
