hey all

I got a 97 mazda b4000 4x4 almost a year ago simply because I couldn't say no when I heard the price... its for sure been a labor of love and it still continues. its now that time of year and I turned my heat on today... no hot air... all cold... I was looking to see if I could find a vacuum leak or something that was not allowing the hcv to function but that's all good. I think it may be the switch on the dash that isn't working... BUT I figured I would look at everything while the hood was up and saw a pretty big crack on the cooling fan.. I figure now is as good a time as any to do an electric fan conversion but really don't know where to start... do I have to spend lots of money on a direct fit or will a universal work... I can mcguyver to a certain extent... I also want to know where to start as far as a good cfm range and if I get a thermocoupler what a good temp would be to set it at.... sorry for such a long "intro" but this is my first forum and I am trying to get as much advice as quickly as I can so I can move on to the next as they say.. thanks a lot in advance
