greetings from nw new jersey ... i just purchased a stock '99 ranger xlt with 145k mi, auto, 4x4 off road series, deep jewel green, stepside with fiberglass cover & hitch .... seems to run well & is in fairly nice condition, (needs muffler/tires, drivers window does not work, abs light is on, bottom of tailgate rotted) ... will post pics soon.

glad to be here, does anyone know if a free repair manual in pdf is available anywhere?

Welcome! Not sure of any free manuals but you can usually buy a disc for a few bucks on eBay!
