Hey From Up North
Hey all.
I just purchased a 2002 Ranger XLT 4.0l 4x4
Heck of an upgrade from my last car which was a '99 Hyundai Accent (damn I still miss that car)
OI! not used to the gas milage this thing gets! Whew!
All Shiny at the Dealer where I got it!

Bent all 4 exhaust valves, 4 of 6 intake valves and punched the piston heads.
I considered doing an inframe rebuild, but the rest of the car WAS starting to fall apart, so i figured that someone above was giving me a BIG NUDGE!
I found this Ranger at a local used dealer for 9900. I figured it was a good deal. I was really surprized that the bank ok'ed financing for it.

Well, according to my GF they're rednecking it.
My Accent got like 40mpg, it cornered like a go-cart on rails, and with my winter tires, i never got stuck once.
It was a great little car.
OK, it was no hell in the 1/4mile, but no one around here could keep up with me through the corners ... lots tried ... the best was an infinity g35 ... we'd hit a straight, and he'd pull away, I passed him twice during cornering (on back country roads) HA!
So, since this is my first truck in like 20 years (my last truck was a '79 Jeep J10 with a 258 I-6, 3 Sp manual, Dana 300 T-Case and Dana 44s front and rear) I'm not sure how much mods I actually want to do.
Of course I have the stereo from my last car, so I will install that ...
Sony GT51W Head Unit
Sony XM4045 (4 ch x 90w Peak) amp
2 5 1/2" Rockford Fosgate speakers in front
2 6 1/2" Sony speakers in rear
Sony XM10020 (2 ch x 300w Peak) amp - bridged to mono (500W Peak)
1 Rockford Fosgate 10" sub
Plus some other goodies that go with, like caps and such.
The problem I'm gonna have is space in this thing, since my son needs to ride in the jump seat behind the passenger front.
I had thought about mounting the amps under the seats the way I had them before, but there seems to be a hump on the floor that i need to deal with ...
i'll figure out something
