New here, been a ford fan all my life thanks to my grandfather who worked for ford. I've inherited a 1987 ranger xlt 4x4 from my grandfather, it's not my first ford truck but it's the only one I've had that's given me trouble. I registered on here because I'm looking for help on how to set up a keyless ignition, as my actuator seems to be stuck and I need a field expedient fix, quick fast and in a hurry!!!

yeah I got it figured out last night. turns out it wasn't the actuator, it had already broken and I installed a button... my solenoid froze. I'm walking out the door right now to go pick up a new one. got a new fuel filter put on a couple hours ago, so here in a few minutes I'll be on the road again.. Thanks anyway!
