Hello Glad to be a Member from Ontario Canada!
Just want to say how great this site is for the DIY section and instructionals alone.
I'm into reading, acoustic guitar (especially old delta fingerstyle and slide Blues), guns and the outdoors spending time with my kids and wife.
I have a 3.0 V6 Manual Transmission 1998 172,000 original Km's on her.
The weather up here in Canada is rough on vehicles with the long winters and road salt.
She still runs like a top though. I still say they are one of the best trucks out there bang for buck.
Looking forward to learning more and doing some work on her with the information available on here. I'm swapping the bed (it's the darned Flareside...) with a 6 foot styleside this weekend.
Cheers from the North!

No everyone has their preferences.
I had the stepside on there for about 5 years now. But I've found myself saying many times (especially during renovations picking up drywall and lumber and scrounging for dead fall hard wood in the bush) "Damn I wish I had a full size box!"
The job is done by the way. She came apart pretty clean. A little jury rigging on the fuel hose though. Finding new fuel rated hose up here is literally impossible unfortunately. Had to use a slightly larger diameter used piece to make the length difference from flare to style. Used the original hose as a seal inside the larger diameter hose, bonded it and hose clamped her together solid as a rock!
I'll take some pics when the rain stops falling up here! Like I said, she's definitely no beauty queen lol She's a hard use bush basher :D I've learned a hell of a lot about basic mechanics working on her over the years.
Glad to be aboard!
Also I found the bed bolts (grade 10 strength) two whole sets for literally $5.21 CDN! Will post a new link with the info on another thread if anyone is interested.
Ford wanted $25.36 per Bolt BEFORE tax up here!!!
