Hello everyone. Purchased a 93 Ranger ext. Cab 4.0 4x4 today for $200. It has a few issues and isn't a pretty truck, but I wanted a project and got one. Everything is intact, but I'm having a starter/flywheel issue. I took the starter down and I think the flywheel is loose/broke. It spins very easily by hand. The starter/solenoid is brand new and as far as I can tell at this point, engaging the flywheel, but it's not turning the crank. Just making the electric motor spinning noise. No broken or really worn teeth on the flywheel.

Either way, glad to be here. This is my second ford, my first being a 97 Taurus. I'm a pretty all around car guy, like and dislike vehicles from just about every brand. I also own a Jeep and a Buick.
