my truck when you first start it lunges and idles up and down until warmed up. What could it be ?

welcome to r-f. i would start with cleaning the throttle body and checking the spark plugs and basics

Welcome! my 85 ranger does the same thing, i usually just rev the gas petal once and it calms down....but i would just clean the throttle body as stated above to start with. good luck
