My first Ford Ranger
Got a new project (1989 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with the 2.9L) and in getting ready for the project, I found this site. Motor cranks with no problem but there are issues with the transmission. Seems to be in the area of clutch, master cylinder and slave cylinder. Picked it up from Craigslist for $400.00 so I don't think I did to bad. This project will start as Dad/Daughter project... lets see how long she stays interested.
I have one question that I have yet to find the answer to though... On the picture of the interior, on the left side of the dash, under the head light switch, there is a small panel that is hanging out. It has 3 LEDs and what I think is 2 touch buttons. I can't figure out what that is. Any ideas from someone that might know?
Looking forward to the learning experience and I apologize in advance for the newbie questions that I am sure are coming.
