I have a question related to this topic....is there actually an exhuast system for a ranger that doesnt sound so much like a v6? haha I myself like a bit of rumble and pop and so far every exhuast I've heard so far just sounds like crap in my oppinion.

Hi guys... soooo.... I got my puppy neutered.

Wait...Am I thread jacking my own thread?
Nah... I'm kidding...you guys are cool.
Just no need to try and put me in my place with what is 'your' opinion.
Your entitled to it of course... but that doesn't make mine worth nothing.

But really though... my puppy got neutered.

x2 I'd like to know....I've been wanting an exhaust since I got my truck, just worried about how it would sound.

Unfortunately we have V6 trucks. Pretty much any exhaust will sound like a V6.

the popping is rich exhaust, the excess (unburnt fuel, due to not enough o2) burns when it enters the exhaust pipe, with less compression, and the heat of the cats ect. if you properly tune (which i would think the computer on our trucks would do) the motor AFTER the exhaust change, it shouldn't pop... it has to do with decreased backpressure and physics... i'm not going to get into it, because i'm sure no one cares that much...

i have been looking at cherry bombs for mine :D lol seriously though, i'm thinking borla or flowmaster...

I think magnaflows might actually sound pretty good on a ranger. I havent looked into many mufflers but I do know usually anything with magnaflows has a great tone to it, that's just my oppinion though.

I'm just putting off any preformance mods till I have enough money to drop in a 302ci v8 building up the 4.0l seems almost pointless to me.
