New guy with 2nd Ranger

Whats up everyone im Shawn from Crestview Fl. I drive an 87 ranger xlt with the 2.3 and a 5 speed.The engine is shot though no compression on piston 2 and low compression on 3 adding oil to #2 brings it up to normal pressure.....Oh well time for a rebuild. I don't have any pics yet of this truck but i do have a few left from my 83.

The 83 was worn out and sometimes 4th would pop out but you could not kill that little truck i miss that thing.

Cool i wont be able to make any meets untill i can rebuild my engine...Bad rings on #2 and 3 i get 25 Lps of pressure on 2 and just over 90 on 3.

well guess its time for a 5.0 lol...when i was in middle school me and my dad had an '83 4 banger 4spd that we practically rebuilt from a parts truck for 75 buck. it was the best truck we have had and it cost us a chainsaw + $75 lol. we put at least 10k on that truck with a cracked head...but welcome to the site
