New guy diving in head first

Howdy! I had been looking for a small truck to replace my 2wd '97 Tacoma, so I bought my first Ranger (2007 Sport 4.0L 5spd) a couple of months ago on an auction site. Any auction is a gamble, especially when the listing says it doesn't move when you let the clutch out. Well, I thought it could be a couple of simple things like the clutch itself, or something not connecting in the Tcase. After getting it home and taking the transfer case out, I discovered that the splines on the output shaft of the trans and the input shaft of the Tcase were basically gone from what looks like corrosion. So here I am 2 months later, and I still haven't driven the dang thing. I am getting close, though.. I have the Tcase rebuilt, and the main shaft of the transmission out but I'm having trouble finding the correct replacement shaft (which is the main reason I joined the forum). I'll start a thread in the technical forum and hopefully find the answers I'm looking for and get this thing back on the road!

edit: Technical thread here
