Hello from Utah.

My name is Jason and I'm picking up my first Ranger this week. The Ranger is a 1998 Ex cab 4X4 with a 5 speed and a 4.0L. I'm hoping this purchase helps save me on the cost of diesel fuel and be a fun ride, this is also my first small truck. I'm excite to learn about these trucks.

Welcome man! The 4.0 ohv isn't the greatest on gas though... My 4.0 ohv averages 10-12 mpg but I'm also on 33s. When I was on 31" tires I was getting 13-14mpg city. But the 5 speed will def. help.

Mine sits on 32s. I will be using it as a commuter truck back and forth to work about 25 miles a day and 20 of those are on the freeway.
