Greetings all! I'm new to the Ranger-hood and have been perusing the site quite a bit lately (due to some issues I've been having with my '98) which I'll post about soon. I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself before soliciting y'all for help. As my user name suggests, I'm an avid motorcyclist but I recently inherited my little pickup from my father-in-law, who passed last year. It's a 1998 XLT, regular cab, 2.5l, 5 speed, 2wd. Unfortunately, it sat more than it was driven and as a trade off for being over 20 years old and having less than 85k miles, I am dealing with some gremlins now. I'm pretty handy with a set of wrenches, but they seem to work better on Harley-Davidsons than they do on Ford Rangers, so if you need any help or advice on a motorcycle issue, let me know.

 

Welcome! I picked up my 2002 Ranger from my great uncle who is still here, but no longer able to drive. I've had to deal with plenty of gremlins related to it sitting despite the low mileage. I definitely understand where you're coming from.
