New Here

Hello,
New here. just wanted to say hello. I just aquired a 93 ranger 4x4 4.0 5speed extended cab. I have normally had s10's, but have always liked rangers. My dad bought a 2000 ranger brand new, and i always thought it was more comfortable and less effort to drive. So i found one in my price range and bought it, I would have posted sooner but the reason i got it cheap is it has a intake gasket leak. So i've been reading up some knowledge because i'm a pretty decent mechanic, just have never dealt with a 4.0 Anyway to stop rambling, great site. Hope to be a contributor here, Thanks in advance for welcomes.

P.S. i'm not a chevy guy either, just drove what i could get. I was raised a pontiac guy, and i mean real pontiacs not the chevy corprate forced on engines.

4.0 liters are awesome to work on. you'll defiantly have fun pulling the valve covers off, the edges where the bolts go thru broke away when i pulled mine (hence the massive oil leak)

Welcome

I have a 94 Ranger XLT extended can 4.0 5 speed 4wd. These are great trucks. I have a lot of work to do to mine because the previous owner was an idiot and did not know anything about taking care of a vehicle. Welcome to the forum. Greetings from Snowy Tennessee!
