Hello to ALL !!!!!!!!!!
My name is George
I drive a 1995 Ford Ranger XLT as my Daily Driver.
My Weekend toy is known as " WHITE POWER " 10 sec Street / Strip / Show 1991 Mustang LX
Here are some pics of my Ranger
As i got it from the junkyard with a blown motor / No interior except the dash and sterring wheel.
This was after paint and another motor with 70k on the clock / Suspension / Wheels & Tires
This was after the FINAL paint job
My truck has a 2.3L with a 5 Speed.
Who here has done a 3.0 or 4.0L with a Automatic Swap ????
I am either going to do the swap,or sell the vehicle.

Taylor,i just threw out (4) 302 shortblocks and (1) 302 long block from my shop.
I just want a OEM motor and Automatic tranny.
I thought about doing the 302 swap MANY times !!!!
My weekend car eats ENUFF GAS !!!!!!!!! LMAO !!!!!!!!
I drive alot and my 2.3L high mileage motor is starting to DRINK gas,plus i want to be able to possible tow my car on a open trailor.

I gave them to my metal scrap dude.
I just WANTED them out of my shop
Do you know anyone on here who has done the swap?
I have also been checking out = www.ridesafely.com to find a donor
Any other good sites ???

If your are gonna tow with it, then you might as well swap in a 4.0. A 3.0 wont be too bad, but best to have the little extra power. A 4.0 SOHC would be even better.
Do you mean the 3 or 4.0 swap? Or the 5.0?
I know of only a couple who have done a 4.0 swap. If I were you, I would pm Bob. His username is rwenzing. He would be able to help you out.

your open 7.5 with 3.73s and 35's will not handle the power exerted from a 302

IDK, I constantly am back and forth about doing it. The main thing is just I don't know if I really want to put the time/money into it because I want to get rid of the truck and get a GTO when I've got the money. I wouldn't be putting a stock 302 in the truck, so that's more money in parts too. I couldn't really do the swap in my driveway either because my neighborhood wouldn't be too pleased to see that.
