New on here, still waiting for my Ranger...

Hello all!

I signed up earlier today and have been looking at how to's and all that good stuff getting ready to purchase a Ford Ranger. I am looking at a '01 with less than 50k miles! It's a 4x4 super cab, I am really excited about getting it! Except for the one little problem in front of that, I have to sell my current vehicle first ('03 Honda Element). I have always loved the look of the Ranger over every other truck on the market, and now that I've found this forum that is full of info....oh man, I can't wait to start modding!

I am located in the Northern Virginia area, if that helps any....
Thanks for having a great forum!!
-Rob

Found my truck!!!

I have been inactive for a couple weeks because I changed my mind and went for a jeep but one test drive changed that. I just sold my Honda Element today and I have found my Ranger! It's a 2005 Fx4 Level 2 going for just a hair over 7k.

So I must ask what should I look for if there is something wrong with it? I will be looking at it either Friday or Saturday. Any help will be appreciated! I am really excited to get this if it looks good.

Thanks!

Better you find out before than after! Good luck with your search.

Finally got it! 2002 Edge 4x4 4.0 5 speed! It is blue..now. The guy lived on a mountain with a gravel/dirt road...

It needs:

Clutch: possibly a slave cylinder issue, but I will be replacing the master, slave, clutch disk and pressure plate.
Windshield
New seats: is there a way I can take out the bench and put two bucket seats and a center console?
A good detailing job :)

Pics will come later!

Cool, well not really lol. I'm getting it looked at this afternoon by my mechanic. He's going to go over the truck and give me the news, both good and bad. Most likely, I will need the rotors turned and the clutch replaced with the slave cylinder.
