New from Edmonton
Hi, Originally from Newfoundland, now living in Edmonton Alberta. I have an 04 Ranger FX4 reg cab that I bought January 07. Just started doing some mods and reading up online which is how I found this forum and think its an awesome source of information and new ideas! So far I've upgraded the shocks to some Rancho RSX's, cranked the front torsion bars, k&n filters, superchips flashpaq, 265 75r16 michellin ltx's for now until I do a body lift this summer and put on some new wheels with 33's. Gibson dual exhaust is currently on the way in the mail. Blacked out the corner lights with nightshade and a few coats of clear. And a few other small mods like mobil1 synthetic oil, ngk iridum plugs, silverstar headlamps, boston accoustic speakers.
But enough rambling, Hi to everybody and I'm glad to be a part of the forum.
Kenny

Half my valance is in the garbage, hit a snowbank one day when it was -30 and it shattered. Still debating if I'm going to replace it or weld up a custom rad cover/skid plate to protect the rad a little better.. If i do replace it i was thinking about getting it done in Line-X or something to make it a little more durable! anybody tried this?

Thats how i bought it! and it was from the dealership just back from a lease with 50k and has all the fx4 options and besides that completely stock so i guess it had to come that way. I did wonder the same thing myself because I have been looking around for other reg cab fx4's with no luck and am starting to think It may be the only one. Anybody else seen one?

Rancho RSX's
http://www.gorancho.com/products/sho...ock_struts.php
I like them, a bit stiffer than the factory shocks but much better handling and ground contact, especially in the rear end with washboard and bad roads (which before the ranchos really sucked!)

From Newfoundland hey? Well I am living in Fort McMurray right now ( I swear 75% of the population is from Newfoundland up here) but I will be moving back to the Edmonton area in July. Welcome to RF. We may be having a Ranger meet sometime in the next few months here. Should be fun. I like your truck because it's pretty much the exact same as mine only reg cab... Except I have the stock wheels in a shed.
