Bought an 03 four by four with 161,000 miles on it 4.10 gear. Previous owner got tired of trying to find the problem with the brake lights as it only had the top cab light working and parked it in a barn. i stopped at my mechanic buddy on the way home as I was thinking something was unplugged and my buddy said the turn signal module looked new and he said whoever replaced it might of pulled the brake wire loose as it's a tight fit. 5 minutes later he had the module where we could both see that sure enough the brake wire had pulled out of the back of the module. He plugged it back in and I've had all the brake lights working since. Thanks to the previous owner not being able to get it fixed I got a nice truck for a great price. I need to save money now to lift it up 3 or 4 inches and put 33/12.50.16 mud-grips on it as here in northwest Florida there's lots of mud to play in

I'll take some pictures and get them posted when the rain quits here in the Florida Panhandle I haven't had internet since August and what I had before then was going out 5 or 6 times every day.
I also have a 96 ranger the needs the G.E.M. replaced for the 4x4 and windshield wipers to work. It's a beat up truck and I;m not sure what I'm going to do with it.

Your 2003 Ranger XLT V6~4.0L~SOHC 4WD is a close sibling to my 2001 SportTracJob2 4WD;
same Frame+Wheelbase+Engin+Trans+TCase+Diffs+FrontSeat+ ...; same Pre-HEC InstrumentCluster+PCM (easier to maintain than 2004+Later HEC Electronics);
Ranger has HalfBackSeat+FullBed, instead of SportTrac FullBackSeat+HalfBed.
