my name is tom dalton , i own an auto repair shop in kentucky. some times i need help trying to fix a few cars, some times 2 heads are better than one.

 

i am looking for information on a 1998 ford ranger 4x4 problem i am having.the high and the low 4x4 lights come on when i start the vehicle then flash 5 times and then go out. the truck wont go in to 4 wheel high or low. i have replaced the switch and the module and still no 4x4 operation, i cant find a wiring book on the 4x4 system.any one have any ideas?. thanks tom dalton.
