I am from from Ky this is my first question will a 2004 Ford Taraus 3.0 fit in a 2002 Ford Ranger 3.0 thanks for the help

To answer your question, Yes it will fit, but it will most likely take some modification since the Taurus engine sits sideways and is Front wheel drive. A more Cost effective engine swap, if that's what you're planning, would be a 5.0 swap from an explorer. Its got a lot more power than the 3.0 does and would be a better use of your time/money.
