Hey whats up everyone. Love how much information is available on this website! Been a Ranger owner for awhile. Had a 98 that just saw the end of its life with me as the driver, figured time for something newer.

Anyways, I was looking at this 06 I found nearby me and was looking for some advice on what you all think.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=66118&endYear=2008&modelC ode1=RANGER&showcaseOwnerId=68345&startYear=2002&m akeCode1=FORD&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&s ellerTypes=b&searchRadius=100&mmt=[FORD[RANGER[]][]]&listingId=330309321&listingIndex=11&Log=0

I went and looked at it and test drove it today. Not the smoothest ride but expected nothing different with the size of the tires. But overall, its in pretty nice shape. Brand new tires, clean interior, sprayed on bed liner just to name a few things.

The price is 14,998, they said they'd be willing to do 14,400. What do you guys think?

KBB values it when sold from a dealer at $15,893 for excellent condition, while this one is very good, not excellent but still.

KBB usually over prices everything.

I might give 10K for it. Probably less since I'd have to get rid of those wheels and tires

Welcome!

I agree with the above, the price seems too high for what it is.

I'm not having any luck finding anything around 2006 with miles below 80k for any less than this one. But I agree it is overpriced. But everything in Missouri (where I live), and Colorado (where I used to live), are all like 15,000$. Looking in either place as itll be the easiest for me to purchase and whatnot. Only time they're cheaper is if they arent 4wd, have 100k+ miles, or much older. I dunno maybe I just suck at searching for trucks, but I've looked a lot.

Yea I've been trying to look all over MO and KS and CO. Maybe one of you guys can find something that I cant. I'm looking for 2005 to 2008 mainly but doesn't HAVE to be in that range, no older than 2002. Also, 4wd, extended cab, automatic. Color doesn't really matter. Mileage under 80k

Why not an 01? It's the same as a 2002.

I'll start browsing around

Eh didn't think about that lol. Was just trying to get something atleast 4 years newer than the 98 I had really. Haven't been able find anything that old with low miles anyways.
