New From Memphis. 03 XLT Detailed Description
Hello there! I have just bought my Ranger from a used car lot and this is what I got. I bought a black '03 XLT 5 speed manual stepside for $4800 that had 143K miles on it. It is a V6 3.0. My cosmetic issues are a few small dents, scrapes and scratches in typical areas, small puncture in driver seat, seat like a cigarette burn or something not even half of my dash panel lights work along with my digital display, my cd player doesn't want to shoot my cds out properly with only a small piece coming out and then being sucked back in, and saying error. It is enough time for me to grab it quickly though.
Other than these few issues my truck is still pretty clean looking. The inside is very clean and under the hood looks brand new with everything looking polished and clean. I also got a compliment from the guy who changed my oil and said there is no rust underneath and looks clean too! Someone has placed a custom exhaust on so I have a deep bellowing idle sound and it sounds good when driving. I also have running boards on both sides which add a nice look.
All in all, I have been getting a lot of compliments and hearing, "you did good". I hope to be posting a lot and I will be seeking advice as I am not necessarily a "car guy". I can do all the typical stuff but a little more meat and potatoes I am still in the learning field. My first truck I owned which was my only other one, was a '91 Toyota pickup extended cab. I have been looking to get back in a small pickup for quite some time now. I am enjoying seeing other rangers on the road as I take this out as my daily driver. I'm not seeing any stepsides though. Anyways, hope to be interacting with you. Cya
