New Ranger Project Car

I'm new to the forum and Ranger ownership. I recently acquired a '92 ranger with 200k+ miles and in need of a little tlc. It runs fine but I'd really like to make look nice. Suggestions very much appreciated!

It needs a little body work and a paint job. New wheels and maybe a lift as well. I'd like to make this a project to work on with my kids.

Where's the best place to get started? Look for parts?

Thanks!

Welcome Keith !! share some pics of your ride !!

Working with your kids on this truck will build more than a ride... one of my best friends worked with his dad in the restoration of an old bike before his dad passed away. This bike is the living memory of his loved father.

Good choice.

What happened to it? It looks pretty clean except for some surface rust and body damage.
I'd recommend you get some filler and learn how to do body work with your kids, it isn't extremely hard to do a good job, however i'd recommend having it painted by someone with experience.
as far as looking nice, maybe clean up all the rusted parts, get them looking nice and shiny again, give some of the plastics a refresh such as the bumper pads and valence being painted black again. then maybe re-painting the grille silver. just some tape and spray stuff. I'd also get a headlight re-storing kit and make those headlights not yellow.

and, Welcome!

Did a tree fall on the bed? Looks like it could be a nice project.

bale of hay fell on the side of the bed
someone ran into the passenger side where the door meets the front fender
as for the rest its just 20 years and 200,000 miles of wear!
